New Delhi: Like iPhone 15, another hype from the Apple family is its iOS 17 update that is set for a September 18 release. Several reports have claimed that the company has decided not to float all the updates immediately and a few key components will come with the later versions like iOS 17.1 and 17.2.
Sources close to the company have informed me that Apple is testing iOS 17.1 internally and will be released in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the fresh update in the form of iOS 17 that will come for iPhone models XS and newer, will have a few features missing such as Journal App and Collaborative Playlists in Apple Music.
Journal App aims to offer iPhone users a comprehensive platform to capture their daily experiences and memories. The Collaborative Playlists enable multiple users to combinedly add, reorder, and delete songs in a shared playlist.
Apple, however, has plans to float a few features later in 2023 such as AirDrop service that will no longer require physical proximity while sharing. Apple Fitness+ is also getting an ‘Audio Focus’ feature that will allow users to prioritize either the music or the trainer’s voice according to their preference.
