A health-related database software named Matri Seva which was developed by IIT, Kharagpur was designed to deal with databases related to patients and their particulars.
This software is designed to serve VS, i.e., Vivek Sanjivani, which is an innovative initiative for the education and healthcare of the ‘Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service (Varanasi).
It offers a virtual alternative to a doctor’s in-person visit. Apart from that, it provides real-time telemedicine solutions.
The software is completely hosted on the servers of Microsoft Cloud and is accessible to all institute centers. It is built to be used for mental and primary health care, managing chronic diseases, follow-up visits, medications, healthcare education, clinical services, and more.
Jayanta Mukhopadhyay (Research Lead, iMediXcare) stated, “Matri Seva is an extension of services of the existing telemedicine system iMedixcare dedicated to the service of the community that Vivek Sanjivani initiated for the underprivileged”.
This initiative, i.e., Vivek Sanjivani offers services for telemedicine via six mobiles as well as stationary mobile units. Moreover, it covers adolescent healthcare, primary healthcare, mother-child, eye check-up, mental healthcare, and more in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
