India To Make into The List of Top 5 Markets By 2025 For Cisco

A top executive for Cisco (maker of telecom equipment) stated on Monday, that the company is optimistic about India’s business perspective, as rapid digitization taking place across industries and the adoption of 5G are fostering strong growth. The executive further added that India is on track to be on the list of the top-5 markets by 2025 for the organization globally.

Daisy Chittilapilly (President, SAARC & Cisco India), reacting to the new regulations for the IT and Telecom sector of India said that, guardrails are crucial and are essential for us, as digitization impacts the lives of more people, connectivity improves, and AI emerges rapidly.

She said that guardrails are beneficial for the industry. Apart from that, Cisco is also being supportive of different laws and regulations which is meant to establish guardrails.

As per the company, Indian markets will stay resilient with respect to growth in the coming decades.

Chittilapilly announced that India has been leading the market among Japan, China, and the Asia Pacific. Also, in the near future, it is going to make it into the list of top 5 markets globally.

Chittilapilly said, “India is currently a top 10 country for Cisco, and our ambition is to get into the top 5 by 2025. We are on a good trajectory to be there”.

She further said, “Every sector you can think about is adopting technology at a scale we have never seen before. We believe India will be resilient for the next decade in terms of growth. There may be volatility, but the long-term forecast is one of growth for India”.
