Thena- SaaS-based customer communication as well as an intelligence platform, has recently bagged $5M in the funding round which was hosted by First Round Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The funds raised would be used for the company’s expansion as well as for product innovation.
Up till now, the company has raised $7.2M in total. Thena has earlier raised $2.2 Million in the pre-seed round of funding from Tenacity Ventures and Pear VC.
Thena was founded by Govind Kavaturi, Ankit Saxena, Unmukt Raizada, and Mike Molinet in the year 2022. Thena, which is a customer engagement platform, was designed to assist businesses to expand their B2B-based clients on messaging platforms including MS Teams and Slack.
This startup allows different organizations to handle their customer channels at a huge scale by allowing them to keep track of all customer-related issues on messaging platforms. Apart from that, it helps them to have better customer interactions and more.
Hemant Mohapatra (Partner, Lightspeed) stated, “Thena’s vision of the future of all customer communication—from static to dynamic; from passive to real-time; from manual to AI-first—was extremely compelling, and we are excited to get started”.
Further, Meka Asonye (Partner, First Round) stated, “As business communication moves from email to messaging, B2B companies need to be where their customers are. We’re excited to see them turn platforms like Slack and Teams into true customer communication channels with the analytics and integrations companies need to better serve their customers”.
