Physics Wallah Plans to Invest ₹500 Crore in Xylem, Kerala-based EdTech Startup

Physics Wallah, a well-known platform for physics education, has partnered with Xylem Learning, an edtech company in Kerala. This alliance involves Physics Wallah investing ₹500 crore over the next three years. This investment reflects the company’s dedication to expanding its reach to the Southern part of India and improving the quality of education.

Physics Wallah (PW) and Xylem Learning have joined forces to strengthen PW’s presence in the southern market. Alakh Pandey, the Founder and CEO of PW, is highly enthusiastic about this partnership and sees it as a significant achievement. He highlights that this collaboration reflects their shared dedication to providing quality education to all. It will also bring them closer to their goal of becoming the leading education platform in South India.

He stated, “In three years we will invest ₹500 crore to propagate the brave and unique ‘XYLEM model of Hybrid Learning’ to other adjoining sister states – a special result-oriented learning plan which impressed me.”

Xylem was founded by Shanthanu S, an MBBS graduate student. It has achieved remarkable success in the Kerala market. The company is ready to expand its presence to Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and other southern regions. Currently, Xylem Learning is dedicated to offering free educational content. It has effectively reached over 3 million students through its network of 30 YouTube channels.

Additionally, it has more than 1 lakh paid students across its various online courses and 30,000 students in its offline or hybrid centers located across five prime districts of Kerala. It also operates ten tuition centers and a school-integrated program across seven schools. It has also ventured into commerce and Kerala PSC test preparation and will continue expanding into other categories.

Xylem has a large paid student community of over 100,000 people taking various online courses. It also serves 30,000 students through its centers in five important districts in Kerala, offering offline and hybrid options. Moreover, Xylem operates ten tuition centers and has school-integrated classes in partnership with seven schools.
