“Good for Someone Just Starting With Algo Trading”

AlgoTest is beginner-friendly and doesn't assume you already know a lot about algo trading.

Pros : As a beginner, I found it easy to pick up. The layout is simple, and there are guides that helped me understand backtesting and paper trading step by step.

Cons : Some of the more advanced features took longer to understand, so I stuck to the basics for the first few weeks.

Switched from : QuantMan

Reason to switch : I wanted one platform that covered all the indices I trade instead of switching between tools.

AlgoTest runs your strategy automatically once it's set up, so you don't have to keep watching the market yourself.

Pros : Once my strategy rules were set, the platform handled everything on its own during market hours. I didn't have to sit and watch charts all day like I used to

Cons : It took a little time to trust the automation fully, so I kept checking in more than needed at first.

AlgoTest gives detailed charts and reports so you can really understand how risky a strategy is, not just whether it made money.

Pros : The heatmaps and charts give a much clearer picture of risk than just looking at profit and loss numbers. Reports on drawdown and win rate helped me avoid using a strategy that only looked good on paper.

Cons : There's a lot of data and charts to go through, which can feel like a bit much when you're just starting out.

Reason to switch : I wanted deeper insight into strategy risk instead of just basic profit numbers
