“Excellent for Academic Institutions”

Moodle is a powerhouse for academic institutions. It handles everything from assignments to discussion forums. But if you’re a solo educator, it might feel like overkill.

Pros : Built for universities and large organizations with a strong feature set.

Cons : Too complex for solo educators or small businesses.

Switched from : Teachable

Reason to switch : Moodle offered a complete academic experience compared to Teachable, which is better for individual courses.

“Reliable for Long-Term Learning Programs”

I appreciate how Moodle has been around for a long time and keeps improving. It’s reliable for managing long-term courses. However, the interface feels dated compared to newer LMS options.

Pros : Moodle is stable and has been around for years, which gives me confidence in its reliability.

Cons : It doesn’t feel as modern as newer LMS platforms.

Switched from : TalentLMS

Reason to switch : Moodle offered better control and ownership of data than TalentLMS.

“Great for Multi-Language Support”

Moodle is excellent for multi-language courses. It helped us manage students across different countries easily. But I had to tweak some translations for accuracy.

Pros : The ability to switch between languages made it ideal for our international students.

Cons : Some translations were not perfect, and I had to fix them manually.

Switched from : Google Classroom

Reason to switch : Moodle’s multilingual support was far superior to Google Classroom.
