Silicon Valley automotive ethernet chip startup Ethernovia Inc., has received an amount of $64 million during the Series A funding round. Major companies like Porsche Automobiles, Qualcomm Ventures, etc., were also part of this funding round.

Nowadays, automakers are focusing on making electric vehicles with multiple driver assistance features to remove the crisscross cluster of cables in cars. They are focusing on developing a central computer system to control multiple car functions such as camera, radar sensors, entertainment dashboard, etc.

Ramin Shirani, Ethernovia’s co-founder stated that his company was opened back in 2018 to develop an ethernet network for the car. This network would help to manage the car’s entire system.

Further, he said, “We’re not the brains of the car. We’re not the sensors of the car. But anything that connects the brains to the sensors, that’s where we are.”.

Ethernovia has been developing ethernet chips and software for simplifying the car’s architecture.

Shirani further added that the funding will be used to constantly improve the products and to create a team for its marketing, sales, and customer support operations.
