Nowadays, it has become difficult to manage enterprise attacks. On average, every organization maintains about 254 SaaS-based applications. Therefore, their security teams require to have 100% visibility and control across the cloud to prevent any vulnerabilities related to application security.

On 9th February, Skybox Security (a SaaS-based security provider) announced that it has raised a whopping amount of $50 Mn from CVC Growth Funds. Apart from that J.P. Morgan & Pantheon are also planning to increase their transparency using vulnerability management and security policy management.

Skybox Security makes the attack surface more visible across the hybrid cloud, OT, and IT systems by combining threat intelligence and infrastructure context. Security staff can perform discovery, prioritization, as well as remediation for any potential exploits using this information.

This latest financing highlights that protecting SaaS apps is critical for protecting the attack surface as it spans the hybrid cloud.

As more applications are entering into hybrid working, Mordecai Rosen (CEO, Skybox Security) stated, “The rapid adoption of new technologies driven by digital transformation, cloud migration, the hybrid work culture and the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) boom [have] left security teams scrambling to manage an ever-expanding attack surface and a skyrocketing number of vulnerabilities.”

Rosen further continued to say, “Today’s modern businesses need to be agile and adaptable to succeed, and both IT and OT hybrid cloud environments need to keep up with the rapid pace of change. As networks expand and become more fragmented, IT teams are challenged to manage an almost innumerable number of devices, rules and security vulnerabilities while maintaining alignment across functional silos and with limited resources.”
