“Integration with IDEs Feels Native”

My workflow improved because I don’t have to switch tools; suggestions show up inline. Less context switching = fewer disruptions.

Pros : Works smoothly in VS Code, IntelliJ, etc. Autocompletes, inline suggestions, makes refactoring easier.

Cons : Sometimes latency or lag, especially when internet connection is less stable.

Switched from : Kombai

Reason to switch : I moved because older tools either didn’t support my IDE well or required too many context switches; Copilot’s integration reduced friction.

Reason to switch : I switched from those because Copilot’s suggestions were more precise in many cases and seemed better tuned to public/open-source patterns.

Pros : Copilot gives me sample code in unfamiliar languages; helps me get over the initial friction. For example with Go or Elixir, I got lots of helpful hints. (User feedback on forums)

Cons : Sometimes the suggestions are stale or based on older idioms. Needs manual tweaking.

Switched from : Spellbox

Reason to switch : I switched away from pure documentation/search because while they work, they take more time; Copilot accelerates initial learning and helps avoid mistakes.
