“Set-up was surprisingly fast for a security tool”

We needed a passwordless platform that could tie into our Azure and AWS resources, and PureAUTH delivered quickly. We had SSO working in days, not weeks.

Pros : Reviewers report that deployment and integration with Single-Sign-On systems and cloud/on-prem apps is straightforward.

Cons : While integration was fast, fine-tuning policies (device risk, user context) required some specialist effort.

Switched from : Microsoft Identity Manager

Reason to switch : The older provider required long deployment timelines and heavy customisation. PureAUTH offered faster time-to-value and cleaner integration.

“Great for hybrid (cloud + on-prem) environments”

We have a mixed environment with legacy on-prem servers and new cloud services; PureAUTH bridged both. That consistency was a big benefit.

Pros : PureAUTH supports both on-premises and cloud applications (web apps, infrastructure, IoT, exec dashboards) and integrates with AWS/Azure etc.

Cons : For our oldest legacy on-prem systems, we still had some custom adaption to enable certificate-based login.

Switched from : OpenIAM Access Manager

Reason to switch : Our previous cloud IAM worked well for SaaS but struggled with on-prem desktops/servers. PureAUTH offered unified coverage.

We adopted PureAUTH as our next-gen IAM solution. So far it’s delivered, but we’re keeping a close eye on feature-maturity (for example support for very niche legacy apps). Overall we’re optimistic.

Pros : The platform has strong fundamentals: passwordless, device context, zero trust access.

Cons : Because it’s newer compared to legacy giants, some integrations or ecosystem plugins we expected were not fully mature; we are monitoring how it evolves.

Reason to switch : We switched because our incumbent vendor felt stagnated, missing modern features like device posture + passwordless. PureAUTH felt more innovative and aligned with our future strategy.

“Zero Trust access control is a game changer”

We are a cloud-native company, and PureAUTH allowed us to enforce policies like only managed device can access production console, certificate must be valid, etc. That added confidence.

Pros : PureAUTH includes device-context based policies (device trust, certificate binding, risk scoring) and supports zero-trust access.

Cons : Our team felt the policy-editor UI could be more user-friendly for non-security engineers.

Switched from : PingFederate

Reason to switch : We left our VPN-MFA setup because it lacked device posture checks and modern zero-trust features. PureAUTH provided more granular control and security.

In our regulated business we needed assurance for auditors. PureAUTH’s cryptographic keys and device posture features helped us demonstrate stronger authentication controls.

Pros : PureAUTH advertises compliance with standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOC-2, PCI-DSS and supports passwordless/auth-certificate models.

Cons : Some audit reports we had to build custom evidence for the certificate-based model since it was OK but not identical to our old MFA audits.

Switched from : miniOrange

Reason to switch : Our earlier MFA solution managed risk but still relied on passwords and hard tokens which audit flagged as weaker. PureAUTH offered a more robust, modern authentication model.

“Devices matter: binding user to device reduced risk”

We had incidents where credentials were compromised but not used; with PureAUTH binding to device we felt the risk of credential theft was much lower.

Pros : PureAUTH uses cryptographic keys bound to user devices so that just knowing the credentials or having a token isn’t enough, you need the device context.

Cons : When a user lost a device, we had to carefully handle certificate revocation which required policy process.

Switched from : SiMPLICI

Reason to switch : We switched because token-based MFA still allowed compromised credentials plus token interception. PureAUTH’s device binding model gave stronger assurance.
