BHP has chosen to extend the use of cloud-based software to monitor “ground disturbance” for three more years.

Software vendor K2Fly recently announced that they had extended their agreement, which was initially signed in May of the previous year. The extension is valued at nearly $2 million.

Currently, the software is used in BHP’s WAIO (Western Australian Iron Ore) operations, which include 5 mines and processing hubs.

Ground disturbance refers to any alteration made to the surface of a site, whether it involves digging or restoring the area. K2Fly offers software that serves as a governance solution in this field.
