“Easy Setup, Solid Security—But Pricey After the Trial”

I switched to Avast SecureLine because I wanted something that just works—no fiddling with advanced settings. Setup was a breeze: authenticated, picked a server, and I was instantly protected. The app even auto-activates on public Wi Fi, which gives me peace of mind at cafés. During testing, it never leaked my IP or DNS, and the kill switch feels solid. The problem? After the first-year discount the monthly price jumps up, and their 700 servers in 34 countries don’t feel as flexible as other top-tier services. Still, for everyday browsing with decent protection, it does the job.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : NordVPN

Reason to switch : I moved from NordVPN because SecureLine integrated nicely with my Avast antivirus, and I liked the simplicity even if it meant losing some server variety.

“Great Speeds but Limited Servers”

I like how easy it has been to download and stream. I wish there were more servers available in less popular areas. Although it is excellent for simple use, additional server settings could make it better.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Psiphon VPN

Reason to switch : I moved from Psiphon to Avast SecureLine VPN because Psiphon felt slow especially while streaming and downloading larger files.

“Great for Beginners, But Privacy Concerns Linger”

I got SecureLine bundled with Avast antivirus and was impressed at how smooth the experience was—it’s clean, intuitive, and it’s hard to mess anything up. The 60-day trial gave me a good window to test out browsing and YouTube streaming, and it performed well. But digging deeper, I realized Avast still logs connection timestamps and data volumes for up to 35 days, and their parent company was fined $16.5?M for selling user data—so I’m uneasy about privacy. Plus, there’s no obfuscation or multihop features. It’s fine for casual use, but privacy hawks might feel uneasy.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Surfshark

Reason to switch : I moved from Surfshark to SecureLine for its seamless UI and antivirus integration—but may switch back if I need stronger privacy guarantees.

“Great for Streaming but Privacy Concerns”

I have had no trouble watching Netflix and other streaming services that are not accessible in my nation. I cannot overlook the earlier disputes regarding Avast's data methods. I am a little worried about it, despite their no-logs promise.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Shadowsocks

Reason to switch : I moved to Avast SecureLine VPN since Shadowsocks was not dependable with streaming services.

“Decent Server Options but Lacks Advanced Features”

For a casual user like me, Avast SecureLine VPN performs good. I can readily connect to many locations thanks to servers located in more than thirty countries. I like to adjust settings, but this VPN does not provide me a lot of options.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Outline VPN

Reason to switch : I wanted an easier-to-use with a good range of server options and Avast met those requirements.

“Strong Security but Lacks Router Support”

I feel safe online because of the AES-256 encryption and DNS leak protection. I was disappointed because I could not protect all my devices at once. For personal use, it is a viable choice.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Windscribe

Reason to switch : Windscribe had more advanced features but it occasionally slowed down my connection and I wanted a more reliable VPN.

“Decent Security, But Streaming Limitations”

I’m using SecureLine across Windows, Mac, and mobile and love that it auto-connects on public Wi Fi. Testing its streaming servers, it handled Netflix okay, though it failed with BBC?iPlayer and Hulu. Speeds were solid locally, but on longer-distance servers, I noticed a 40–60% drop—enough to affect HD streaming. I like the kill switch and leak protection, but if you rely on VPN for high-end streaming or gaming, this might not cut it.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : ExpressVPN

Reason to switch : I moved from ExpressVPN to SecureLine for a simpler all-around security bundle, though I’m keeping ExpressVPN for streaming-heavy sessions.

“Works on All My Devices but Needs Better Support”

Having it across all my devices is quite convenient. The customer service has been below average. When they do respond, it is not always helpful, and they react slowly.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Hotspot Shield

Reason to switch : The Hotspot Shields free version had too many limitations and the full plan felt overpriced.
