Air India announced on Monday that it will use Ideagen’s enterprise’s Coruson software for improving the safety management system and real-time flight incidents reporting.

The announcement came after the 3 incidents of unethical passenger’s behavior on the 2 international flights last year. Due to this, aviation regulator DGCA imposed multiple penalties on Air India.

Coruson, which is a safety data software application, will become effective from May 1, 2023, to facilitate real-time reporting in-flight incidents. The airline will procure iPads to access Coruson through these devices. The solution will also enhance end-to-end safety management like real-time intelligence.

“It will provide Air India complete visibility across the airline’s entire organization, allowing it to access the latest data and use this to spot and mitigate potential risks, thereby enhancing safety of operations,” said by PTI.

Henry Donohoe, Head of Safety, Security and Quality at Air India, stated that the Air India will be upgrading their existing systems and processes for smooth flow of data in real-time.
