Microsoft has announced the hike of up to 11 % for its services and software due to currency fluctuations.

The company announced, “Indian rupee Prices for commercial on-premises software will increase by 4.5%, online services will increase by 9% and Windows GGWA will increase by 11% starting February 1, 2023”. It further added that the price hike will not affect hardware or Office and Windows consumer products.

The company says the 11 percent increase in price in India is close to the prevailing USD pricing levels in the Asian region. Furthermore, starting February 1, 2023, services such as Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 will appear on company’s official site for direct sale to customers based in India with revised Indian rupees.

According to company, for business customers these changes will not affect orders under license agreements for those products that are covered by price protection!
