Release launched a Release Delivery platform that utilizes the container description to develop an environment for deploying the cloud applications in a private cloud environment.

Tommy McClung, the CEO of Release, said that the Release Delivery is for users who want to provide their SaaS products on the private cloud environment. The main purpose for providing the services on the private cloud is due to the increasing data privacy requirements. This platform is based on the enterprise-as-a-service (EaaS) to deliver and update the cloud native applications.

This platform comes with Ephemeral Environments-as-a-Service technology to easily deploy containerized applications on the cloud environment directly via Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google.

The conventional pre-production environment relies on staging and quality assurance strep under which the code is tested before the application deployment in the production environment. However, the organizations can support only limited production environments.

Ephemeral EaaS removes this bottleneck as each feature branch stays in an individual isolated environment. Therefore, making it easier to create endless integration environments.

When the ephemeral environment is developed, URLs of this environment are shared with the client to track the software development when the code is deployed. When the code is pushed in the source control system, the environment gets updated, thus creating a live reflection of the feature in the development stage. Moreover, any changes to the environment are automatically notified to the clients to preview them and provide feedback.

This new platform has made software deployment in the private cloud environment easier and improved the developer productivity.
