Sinch, a pioneer in cloud communications for ‘mobile customer engagement’ is launching its product line – ‘MessengerPeople’ in India for small & medium scale businesses (SMBs). A sales team was already created for the same in 2020 to take care of any customer-related queries.

The platform is a collection of cloud-based software that enables companies to communicate with their clients using messaging apps including Apple Business Chat (iMessage), Instagram Direct Messaging, WhatsApp, and Telegram. More than 800 companies utilize ‘MessengerPeople’ to communicate with their clients globally.

Talking about this launch, Nitin Singhal (MD, Sinch India) said, “India is a fast-growing, mobile-first economy that benefits from rapid digitalization and rising smartphone penetration. With more than 500 million WhatsApp users in India, this is a billion-dollar growth market for conversational messaging that could be developed in the next few years”. Further, he says that both the number of prospective users and India’s GDP expansion support the future growth of conversational commerce through messaging apps.

The ‘MessengerPeople’ solution supplements Sinch’s API-based offering for bigger businesses and channel partners with its user-friendly applications built for SMB business users. This platform is ideal for pre-sales as it offers features like bulk messaging, WhatsApp marketing, & customer service.
