“Good value for what we needed – though price matters”
For our mid-sized business, the cost of Birdeye was justified by the volume of reviews and improved visibility we got. If you’re very small you may still evaluate cost relative to results.
Pros : It helps us with our online presence and offers great support.
Cons : “Cost/month” is a concern.
Switched from : Answerdash
Reason to switch : We switched because the smaller tool had fewer features and less scalability; Birdeye gave more for the budget even if it required commitment.

Pros : With Birdeye, we’ve increased our number of reviews by nearly 200% YoY … which has greatly contributed to brand lift and recall.
Cons : Cost/month, not getting as many reviews as I would hope.
Switched from : Podium
Reason to switch : We switched from Podium because although it had review features, Birdeye offered better multi-site support and stronger analytics for our chain of locations.

“Automated review requests increased our feedback flow”
I don’t have time to chase every customer individually for feedback. With Birdeye, we set up automated review prompts (via SMS or email) and more customers began leaving reviews without manual follow-up.
Pros : The automation tools for sending review requests are a huge time-saver and really helped boost our visibility and reputation.
Cons : Sometimes auto-responses feel impersonal or inaccurate.
Switched from : GetFiveStars
Reason to switch : We switched because GetFiveStars required too much manual setup for our growing business; Birdeye’s automation simplified the process.

“Streamlined all my reviews into one dashboard”
I switched to Birdeye because our business had dozens of review sites and no easy way to track or respond. With Birdeye we now see all reviews (Google, Facebook, Yelp etc.) in one place, which saves a lot of time and improves our responsiveness.
Pros : It’s simple to use, easy to navigate and gives me all my reviews in one place.
Cons : Sometimes the platform is a bit glitchy and the features can take a little time to learn at first
Switched from : ReviewTrackers
Reason to switch : We moved away from ReviewTrackers because it lacked the strong integration with listings and review-automation features that Birdeye offers for multi-location businesses.

“Excellent support and onboarding which is a BIG plus”
During onboarding I appreciated the responsive account manager and regular check-ins. For small to mid-size businesses, that kind of support matters a lot.
Pros : Everyone at Birdeye is very helpful and professional and the tools they offer to grow your business are flexible.
Cons : Integration with other software platforms could be improved.

“Powerful platform, but onboarding takes attention”
Implementing Birdeye took some internal training and setup (listing verification, review flows, templates). But once we rolled it out, the efficiency gains were clear. If you plan to adopt it I recommend dedicating a launch period.
Pros : Has made managing our reviews effortless.
Cons : Features can take a little time to learn and the platform offers so many tools.
Switched from : SmartDX
Reason to switch : We switched because the basic aggregator lacked automation, listing management and deep analytics; Birdeye is more complete but needs proper setup.
