To draw a manga background in Procreate do the following:
- Take an image for tracing purpose.
- Import the image over a canvas and set its opacity around 70%.
- Click on brush library and select the Procreate Inking Brush. It is the perfect brush for drawing mangas/anime characters.
- Tap on the layer menu, create a new layer, and drag it to the top of the layer’s list.
- Start by doing the backgrounds, like the bushes and the roads, then move on with the character and other details.
- Then finally use Dip pen to sketch the facial features and other minute details like small bushes, eyelashes etc.
