To make a cartoon character of yourself using Photoshop, follow the steps given below:
- First begin with some basic sketching, and designing the characters and background of your choice
- Extract the image from the background. Select the Blending Mode by clicking on the Selection Tool and selecting Multiply Layers
- Create a new Layer with the name Base Color. As the name implies, we apply each character's skin tone on this layer
- Add highlights and reflecting lights to give your character more vitality
- Lastly, create a new layer for adding elements like thinking bubble, onomatopoeia and dialogues.
