To paint blood dripping using Photoshop, follow the steps given below:
- Make a new layer and place it above the image layer
- In the layer's panel, select the Brightness/Contrast icon
- Adjust the Contrast level to 90 and Brightness to -28
- Create a new group, and name it Color Grade
- Add three distinct adjustment layers over it
- Change the Color Lookup to Foggy Night with 16% opacity and layer mode to Multiply on the first adjustment layer
- The Selective Color Layer, the second adjustment layer, will modify the red, yellow, black, and neutral color
- The Curve Layer with the top anchor pulled backwards will be the third adjustment layer
- Create a new layer now, select the Paint tool, and then form your streaming blood
- Note: Use Dark Red shade to do so
- Select the Soft Air Brush, then fill the shape with Medium Red
- Choose Soft Round Brush now, reduce its pointer and then blend the edges
- Fill in the spaces you want to draw attention to
- Add shadows to your blood design to give it more mass
- Create a new layer and the blending mode to Multiply
- Lastly, use the Dropper tool to select a dark shadow hue, and then select Air Brush to smudge the edges.
