To draw digital clouds using Illustrator, follow the steps given below:
- Create a new canvas. Make sure that the Color Mode is RBG.
- Choose rectangle tool and hide the background.
- Click on Windows from the menu bar and choose Gradient.
- Set the gradient color as blue (any shade of your preference).
- Align the rectangle with your canvas and then lock the layer.
- Now select Ellipse tool and using them make basic cloud like structure.
- Now choose the Mesh tool and mark those portions of the cloud where you want to give 3D effect.
- Now again click on Windows and then click Transparency.
- Set the value of Transparency somewhere in between 47% to 55%.
- Go to Effects > Gaussian Blur > Check the Preview checkbox.
- Change the radius value.
- Now just make duplicate copies of the cloud and place them in such a way that it overlaps with each other.
- Once you are satisfied with the result click Save.
