IDM asks you to log in before downloading something, as you might be targeting the content of a protected site. Some sites would ask you to log in every time you download something from their site; on the other hand, some sites completely prevent any sort of download manager from accessing their data.
Why does IDM ask me to login every time I use the application to download something?
