“Solid all-in-one for forwarders, but check the integrations fit”
If you are a small-to-midsize forwarder drowning in spreadsheets or juggling separate CRM, rate, and accounting tools, CargoEZ is worth a serious look. The lead-to-invoice flow is genuinely tighter than older platforms we trialed, and it is live in weeks rather than months . Just go into the demo with a clear list of your must-have integrations and ask exactly what is native versus what needs a workaround.
Pros :
What actually made a difference for us was the single-record workflow. A lead comes in, turns into a quote with rates pulled from the RMS module, and then becomes a shipment without re-typing everything three times. The finance module being native—not a bolted-on QuickBooks bridge—means the invoice matches the shipment file without manual reconciliation at month-end . For a small team, that alone saved hours of admin.
The customer portal was also a quiet win. We customized it a bit, and it cut down the where is my shipment emails noticeably. Support during setup was responsive when we needed help with the portal tweaks
Cons :
The third-party integrations are limited. if you rely on a specific external tool for EDI or a niche carrier network, you may end up keeping that separate rather than having it flow into CargoEZ
Reason to switch :
It has significantly cut down on my teams time.
