“Worth Trying, But Not a Perfect Replacement Everywhere”

Overall, eSIMGo is a solid option for travelers who want to simplify connectivity. It replaced many painful SIM swaps for me. But I don’t consider it perfect — I always carry local SIMs or alternate eSIMs as backups.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Airalo

Reason to switch : I switched from a prior travel eSIM that had worse onboarding and higher costs. eSIMGo gave me a better cost / convenience balance even if performance is variable.

“Good for Short Trips, Less Ideal for Extended Remote Use”

On a ten-day European tour, eSIMGo covered me well in major cities. But when I stayed in rural towns or smaller islands, connectivity became patchy.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : AloSim

Reason to switch : I switched from AloSim for shorter trips, but I still keep a backup local SIM for places eSIMGo can't reach reliably.

“Convenience, But Occasional Signal Dropouts”

I liked being able to roam between countries with one eSIM. But I experienced a few times where signal was shown but data wouldn’t load until I toggled airplane mode.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Saily

Reason to switch : I switched from juggling two SIMs because that’s messy. eSIMGo promised a smoother experience; in many cases it delivered, though not perfectly.

“Good Support, But Sometimes Lag in Response”

Once my eSIMGo plan wouldn’t connect in a city despite being in coverage. I contacted support; after some back-and-forth I got guidance to reassign the network. It worked eventually.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Nomad

Reason to switch : I left my previous provider due to nonresponsiveness. eSIMGo’s support is better than some, which made it worth risking the speed tradeoffs.

“Seamless Roaming, But Speed Throttles Occasionally”

On crossing a border, I expected eSIMGo to auto-switch networks. Often it did, but in some borders the speeds slowed dramatically.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : FlexiRoam

Reason to switch : I previously used region-based eSIMs but had to buy new ones for each region. eSIMGo’s more global roaming was the draw, even if performance sometimes dipped.

“Works Well in Dense Zones, But Inconsistent Outside”

On my trip, downtown areas felt fine; but as soon as I traveled toward countryside, the connectivity was unstable.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Ubigi

Reason to switch : I switched after my previous eSIM had unpredictable performance outside cities. eSIMGo was a bet on “better everywhere,” but it's still inconsistent.

“Value for Money, But Not Always Dependable”

I used eSIMGo across several countries in a region (e.g. Europe). Often it was cheaper than multiple local SIMs. But when I traveled off the beaten path, I sometimes had to rely on WiFi.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Holafly

Reason to switch : I switched from classic local SIMs because swapping cards is a hassle. eSIMGo gave me convenience and cross-country roaming, though I sacrificed some consistency.

“Smooth Activation, But Speed Isn’t Always Reliable”

I landed in a foreign country and within minutes had data working via eSIMGo. But when streaming or using maps, sometimes it struggled, especially under load or cell congestion.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Local Operator

Reason to switch : I switched because my previous travel SIM was expensive and had activation hassles; eSIMGo’s onboarding was easier, even if speed is inconsistent.

“Great in Cities, Struggles in Remote Areas”

During my European trip, I used eSIMGo as my data provider. In cities like Berlin and Paris, everything was smooth. But when I ventured into rural Germany or outskirts, connectivity became spotty.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Airalo

Reason to switch : I switched from my prior eSIM provider because in cities I felt eSIMGo was cheaper or more flexible; but I kept an alternate eSIM for backup when traveling in remote regions.

“Easy to Manage Packs, But Hidden Coverage Gaps”

I appreciated being able to add data mid-trip via the app. But when traveling to more remote locations, I saw warning signs of coverage gaps or weak speeds.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : GigSky

Reason to switch : I moved from a provider that had strong coverage in mainstream cities but weak remote support. eSIMGo seemed to offer more route flexibility, but with some gaps I still carried backup.
