“Significant Efficiency Gains in Last-Mile Delivery”

I manage last-mile operations for a large distributor and implemented Locus for route and delivery tracking. We now have much better visibility into deliveries, fewer missed PODs, and more efficient driver routing. That said, when issues happen, support resolution sometimes lags.

Pros : We’ve collaborated with Locus for a while now and the solutions they have provided for our LMD and POD Management have not only improved our operational efficiency & visibility but also enabled us to solve complex challenges in a way that was previously unattainable.

Cons : One area that could use improvement is response time. Faster turnaround, especially for time sensitive issues would really elevate the overall experience.

Reason to switch : I switched because our previous tool lacked dynamic routing and real-time visibility. Locus’s capabilities promised to reduce cost and improve delivery accuracy, which was critical for our expansion.

“Very User-Friendly Interface Helps Team Adoption”

I oversee a mid-sized fleet and needed software our dispatchers and drivers could pick up quickly. Locus’s interface made training easier and we got running faster. On the downside, I wish feature updates came more quickly.

Pros : The interface is very user friendly and easy to learn for new users. Application is advanced and has many business required features that make it a valuable enterprise application for us.

Cons : Regular update sprints are not frequent enough to cover more enhancements quickly.

Reason to switch : I switched since our old system was too hard for staff to learn and we kept losing productivity during onboarding. Locus offered better usability out of the box.

“Excellent for Multi-Model Delivery, But Dashboard Overly Complex for Some Users”

We deliver via bikes, vans, and trucks. Locus handled the various delivery models and scheduling well. Some dispatchers though found the dashboard a bit complex at first and needed training.

Pros : The application is advanced and has many business required features that make it a valuable enterprise application.

Cons : The UI can be slightly overwhelming for new users and occasional delays in status updates affect tracking accuracy.

Reason to switch : I switched because our old software only handled trucks and couldn’t integrate bike or van routing; Locus supported multiple modalities.

“Visibility and Tracking Improved, Great for Delivery Compliance”

I handle delivery compliance (PODs, ETAs, audits) for our 3PL. Locus gave us much better tracking and data for compliance. But when we needed to adapt the system to new regulatory rules, flexibility was limited.

Pros : Users value the efficiency of auto sorting, which enhances delivery speed and improves customer satisfaction significantly.

Cons : Customization options are limited and hindering adaptability to diverse business needs.

Reason to switch : I switched because the old system didn’t provide real-time visibility or automated proof of delivery. Locus’s built-in tracking and analytics improved our operations.

My company has about 150 vehicles. We deployed Locus and saw improved scheduling and route clustering. But we did need dedicated internal resources to set up the constraints, vehicle pools, and driver rules properly.

Pros : Locus is described as helping many mid-market businesses with planning and delivery workflows.

Cons : Implementation and configuration can be heavyweight for smaller teams; sometimes smaller business workflows are less covered.

At enterprise scale (1000+ vehicles across regions) I found Locus provided a strong platform for scheduling and analytics. However, when adapting to highly specialised workflows (e.g., cold-chain with many variable constraints), we found we needed additional modules.

Cons : Some users say for large or unique business models, customization and flexibility lag.

Reason to switch : I switched from our older custom build because while it was bespoke, it lacked continuous optimisation and support. Locus promised broad functionality though we accepted some trade-offs.

After implementing Locus, we began seeing ROI via reduced route times and improved ETAs. But when we had urgent issues (driver app bug, route recalculation failure) the support and response wasn’t as fast as we hoped.

Pros : Many users praise the platform’s evolving features, route optimization and usability.

Cons : Support resolution time still takes long lead time and request delays.

Reason to switch : I switched because the old tool was costing too much in inefficiency and lacked optimisation. We chose Locus for improvement but come prepared to invest in change management.

For our 300-vehicle fleet, Locus streamlined planning and driver allocation and improved delivery KPIs. For smaller regional fleets I noted some missing features.

Pros : Hi-quality support and user-friendly for daily operations.

Cons : Not good enough for customer in small size and no way to help mix truck and bike mod.
