The very first thing you should do when migrating to CloudLIMS Enterprise from another LIMS is to work out what data you need and what you can throw away. Look over your existing system for any duplicate or erroneous data and clean it up first. Always make a complete backup of your data before migration. Data should be moved in phases rather than all at once to minimize the downtime. Post-migration, thoroughly test the data, provide the staff with training on the new system, and do a complete switch only when everything is functioning correctly.
