Q: I want to draw a 2d diagram of connecting rods. I have diagram but I didn't get the correct details to draw.

To carry over a hide situation from one drawing to another in AutoCAD Mechanical, you can use the Design Center tool. Here are the steps:

1. Open both the drawings (the one with the hide situation and the one where you want to carry it over).
2. In the drawing with the hide situation, open the Design Center tool by typing ADCENTER in the command line.
3. In the Design Center window, navigate to the drawing that you want to copy the hide situation to.
4. Expand the Layouts section and select the layout where you want to copy the hide situation.
5. Expand the Blocks section and select the block that contains the hide situation.
6. Drag and drop the block into your current drawing.

To fix the issue go to the Properties Panel. Under properties go to Text, then click on Text Override. Lastly, make sure that Text Override is set to blank.

Firstly, start the Create Associative Hide. Then select the objects to hide. The Create Hide Situation dialog box opens which shows the levels and drawings. Choose the drawing you want to hide the object in and save the changes.

Choose the objects and then alter the Elevation in the Properties Palette. Disable the Nearest Snap option and switch the Object Snap Tracking on and off. Verify whether Grid is turned on or off and if the UCS is correct.

This check box can be found under the Options dialog box in the Files Tab. You can type OPTIONS in the command line to open the options dialog box.
