Is there a single event that fires on every model change in SolidWorks like there might be in Inventor?

To create a new SplitFeature using Inventor API you can use the SplitFeatures.SplitBody or SplitFeatures.SplitFaces methods.

AddByTwoiMates(iMateDefinitionOne, iMateDefinitionTwo) creates an iMateResult that links two parts using their respective iMates. But both iMates must be compatible (e.g., both are Insert, Mate, etc.), and you need to reference them correctly.

Common Pitfalls

• iMate names must match exactly—case-sensitive and no typos.
• iMate types must be compatible—you can’t mate a flush with an insert.
