To draw a perfect heart using GIMP, follow the steps given below:
- Create a new canvas of size 400 x 400 px
- Make a new transparent layer
- Choose the Ellipse tool and make a circle
- Then we will deselect the Shape tool by pressing Shift + Ctrl + A
- Make a rectangle and then overlap it above the circle
- Note: Just cover the half of the circle, hence leaving us with a semi-circle
- Again, deselect the shape tool and then merge the two layers
- Pick up rotating tool and then tilt the figure by 45 degrees
- Make a duplicate copy of the tilted figure and then flip it vertically
- To flip the figure press Shift + F
- Now just choose the Move tool and then just position the two figures to give it a heart-like shape.
