To draw carpet texture in Blender, follow the steps given below:
- Click on Add and then select Mesh
- Choose a shape of your choice
- Then select Object Mode and then choose Edit Mode
- Select the object and then press ‘X’ on the keyboard
- Choose the ‘Face’ option
- Reshape the object as per your requirement
- Again, click on Mesh > Merge > At Center
- Transform the shape to ‘Object Mode’
- Click on the disk icon from the toolbar and then import the image texture
- Import a rug pattern and then position them accordingly
- Toggle ON the particle system and then decrease the value of Hair Length to 0.04
- Increase the number of Emission to 10000
- Press the ‘Invert Color’ button and change the rendering mode to ‘Cycles’
- Go the World menu and then change the color to Environment Texture
- Import the .exr file that gives your carpet a bit more realistic touch
- Make a cut out of your illustration and increase the values of Standard, Tip, Diameter Root and Scale under Hair Shape
- Finally, just decrease the value of Brownian under the Force menu and then press Ctrl + Alt + B to reflect the changes made.
