To draw a realistic wave using GIMP, follow the steps given below:
- Create a new canvas
- Draw a curved line that acts as a horizon
- Use a lighter shade of sky blue on the upper level and a deeper shade on the bottom level
- Increase the gaussian level blur to 35% and then hover the stylus on the canvas
- Repeat the process a couple of times, each time adding a new layer with a deeper tone of blue
- Select the ‘Water brush’ from the brush collection to reflect the sun
- Finally, use a 70% blur and draw little white circles. You get a reflecting effect from it.
