When I try to resume the download in IDM, this message gets displayed ‘the website sends a web page instead of a file when IDM requested this file second time’. How to resolve this issue?

There are several things that you could try:

Updating your Internet Download Manager to IMD v6
Right-click on the file you wish to resume and select Refresh Download Address. It will open the page for the link. From here, you can try to download the file again.
