“Reviewing Cassandra after using it for more than 2 years”

Pros : Ready to use APIs are available to reduce queries like materialized ones. It;s easily integrated with JVM as it's written in Java.

Cons : The unavailability of Aggretation queries is sort of an issue that needs to be fixed.

“Highly Scalable NoSQL Database”

Pros : Cassandra is best chocice for developers who wants to use highly available NoSQL database. The fast write speed is something amazing also it;s tunable, stores large volume of data within a span of minutes, JVM integration. The Cassandra Query Language they offer as a subset of SQL query is useful.

Cons : No Ad-Hoc Queries, security can be enhanced. People from SQL zone needs some time to learn this but that makes a new learning curve amazing.

Reason to switch : Due to the high scalibility, fast write speed, highly available data

“Best NoSQL Database Available in Market”

Pros : We're using Cassandra for our eCommerce platform for the last 1.5 years. So far our experience is good as it offers high performance and scalability.

Cons : The data movement from Cassandra to any other existing realtional DB is something that can be worked on.

Reason to switch : Due to the data availability feature we went with Cassandra and highly recommend the same for others who want to manage their eCommerce platform.
