Pros : The biggest advantage of IDM is its ability to speed up downloads. My downloads often finish much faster when using IDM than downloading the same files without it.

Cons : IDM is only available for Windows, which can be a drawback. If you use a different operating system, you'll have to look for a different download manager.

Pros : IDM's ability to pause and resume downloads is one of my favorite features. This has come in handy when my internet connection drops or when I need to shut my computer down for the night.

Cons : The free version of IDM comes with only a 30-day trial period. After the trial, you'll need to purchase a license to continue using the software.

Reason for choosing the software : I chose IDM because of the convenience of pausing and resuming downloads, which were major factors in my decision.
