Cons : Mobile App Absence: Unlike some other platforms, Shopify doesn't have a mobile app, making on-the-go management a bit tricky.

Reason to switch : I wanted a hassle-free space to share my thoughts and build a community of readers, both free and paid. With Ghost, I can focus solely on writing without stressing over uptime, updates, or performance. It's the perfect fit for my blogging needs.

“Ghost! Best CSM to create a paid community”

Pros : 1. Easy setup and maintenance 2. Really good uptime3. Speed is super fast4. Email Newsletters are inbuilt 5. Can customize and create plans from Ghost itself! Not no need to create it on Stripe anymore!6. Code changes are super easy, integrations even.

Cons : Some of the plans feel limited. 1000 member plan includes paid and unpaid ( Having different numbers for paid and unpaid would be good!)2. If your card gets declined, you are blocked out of the site. You can't even get onto the admin dashboard to make the payment.

Reason to switch : Create a paid newsletter+ website. Create a community for people interested in my content. Collect and manage payments received from the community. Send them emails when a new blog goes live!

Plus, the Stripe integration for email subscriptions is a big win. Managing your email newsletter subscribers becomes a breeze thanks to Ghost's intuitive user management system. Compared to the cumbersome experience of WordPress, Ghost stands out as a streamlined option, especially for blogging and managing one email newsletter.

Cons : However, at the basic level, one glaring omission is the lack of a search feature. It's frustrating not being able to search for older blog posts or emails without upgrading to the $25/month plan. Additionally, Ghost's subscription options are limited to monthly, yearly, or free tiers. Offering options like lifetime or quarterly subscriptions would be a welcome addition. Another downside is the inability to run more than one email newsletter through Ghost, forcing users to seek alternatives like ConvertKit for additional newsletters.
