“Reliable and Effective Virus Protection”

Pros : VirusTotal allows me to analyze any suspicious files, URLs, IPs and domains to detect malware. Plus, it can automatically share those threats with the security community. If you are looking for reliable and effective threat detection software, then you should choose VirusTotal. Believe me, you'll be proud of your decision.

Cons : What I don't like about VirusTotal is that at times it can be a bit slow.

Reason to switch : MetaDefender can sometimes generate false positives, which means that it can mistakenly identify clean files as malicious.

“The best online virus and malware scanner”

Pros : I already have Kaspersky installed on my laptop, but still I use VirusTotal as the secondary protection against Trojans, malware and viruses. It is very simple to use as you just have to upload a file to the website and it is scanned within a few seconds. Moreover, you can also scan website URL before clicking them to verify their safety.

Cons : The user interface can be more efficient

Pros : I can easily scan my computer system and check if anything is missing in the protection. This software automatically detects and removes malware, trojans or viruses from my system. Plus, the interface of Virustotal is very simple and easy to use.
