“Wizard Makes It Easy, But Campaign Options Are Few””
I liked the guided wizard—step-by-step setup is perfect for me. But once I wanted to fine-tune campaign strategies like thread counts or link networks, I hit a limit. Advanced users might find it too restrictive.
Pros : Wizard-style interface simplifies setup
Cons : Lacks flexibility for advanced, complex campaigns
Switched from : Moz Pro
Reason to switch : Moz's backlink index is smaller and less detailed compared to some competitors like Ahrefs and Apex XGen.

“Powerful Automation But Slower Than I Expected”
When I first tried Apex XGen, I was impressed by how fully automated everything is—you can generate emails, spin articles, and submit to blogs and videos in one go. However, the speed was a letdown: it crawled along so slowly that even beginners get frustrated. I had to leave it running overnight to complete sizable campaigns.
Pros : Automated blog, RSS, video, and social submissions; built-in email/account creators
Cons : Sluggish performance—can be painfully slow
Switched from : SENuke X
Reason to switch : I switched to SENuke because it runs much faster and handles multi-threaded submissions.

“Novice-Friendly but Gets Stuck Sometimes”
As a beginner, I appreciated the wizards and fully automated workflow. But occasionally it just stalls in the middle of a run, and I only realize after a long wait. Without multi-threaded speed or reliable error handling, it became more annoying than helpful.
Pros : Great for beginners—wizard and auto features simplify setup
Cons : Freezes or stalls; sometimes submission fails silently
Switched from : SEO Scout
Reason to switch : SEO Scout's backlink analysis and data are not as comprehensive as those found in Apex XGen.

“Perfect for Blackhat, Not for Ethical SEO”
XGen is powerful if you're into blackhat SEO—multi-account creation, mass spinning, and automated link wheels are all baked-in. But that's exactly what Google’s filters hate. I suspect lots of penalties waiting, so I had to tone it down.
Pros : Spinning, mass account creation, automated posting is aggressive and powerful
Cons : Slack submissions likely trigger search penalties
Switched from : SEO Powersuite
Reason to switch : Compared to tools like SEMrush, SEO PowerSuite's keyword research features are considered weaker and less robust.

“All Features in One But Frequent Crashes”
Apex XGen’s toolset is awesome—it covers keyword research, article spinning, backlink submission—but it's buggy. A few times it froze midway through a blog submission, and I had to restart the process. Still, I appreciate having an all-in-one package, just wish it was more stable.
Pros : Everything bundled—SEO, social, link-building, backlink management
Cons : Prone to freezing or crashing mid-run
Switched from : Semrush
Reason to switch : Semrush is a comprehensive tool with a wide array of features, which can be overwhelming for new users.

“Reporting Tools Are Handy But Could Be Better”
XGen offers built-in ranking checks and backlink reports—handy for quick checks. But the UI is dated, and I wish it had visuals like charts and dashboards for easier insights.
Pros : Includes ranking, backlink, and traffic analytics
Cons : Reporting lacks depth and modern dashboards
Switched from : Ahrefs
Reason to switch : Ahrefs does not offer a free trial of the full platform, making it difficult to assess its suitability for your needs before committing to a paid subscription.

“Spinner Does Its Job, But Feels Robotic””
I love that XGen spins articles automatically and posts them to blogs. But the spun content often reads awkwardly and needs cleanup. Great for volume, but virtually unusable without editing.
Pros : Built-in article/blog spinner saves time
Cons : Output is often unnatural or repetitive
Switched from : SmallSEOTools
Reason to switch : Free users don't have access to dedicated customer support.

“Email Creation Is Solid, But Not Enough Links”
The email creator feature is convenient—I can spin up multiple Gmail or Yahoo accounts as needed. But despite that, many submissions fail. Out of 50 attempts, maybe 8 backlinks stuck. So the tool runs well, but I still chase a lot of dropped links.
Pros : Auto-creates email accounts for submissions
Cons : Submission success rate is very low
Switched from : Yoast SEO
Reason to switch : Yoast's analysis is not always accurate and can sometimes provide incorrect or outdated advice.

“Captcha Solver’s Neat, But Feels Outdated”
It’s impressive that XGen solves CAPTCHA automatically—it’s a nice time-saver. But the UI feels like it's stuck in the early 2000s. Menus are clunky, layout odd. Works, but doesn’t feel modern.
Pros : Built-in CAPTCHA resolving
Cons : UI feels old and clunky
Switched from : SearchSEO
Reason to switch : While it may provide temporary boosts, manipulating CTR is not a sustainable long-term SEO strategy.

“Feature-Packed but Pricey”
Standard plan is $79/month, but enterprise-level features like API, bulk email submission, and full analytics bump the price to almost $300/month. Packed with modules, but definitely not for casual users.
Pros : Email creator, spinner, submission, analytics—all under one roof
Cons : Costs up to $299.95/month for full Enterprise suite
Switched from : Seobility
Reason to switch : The mobile site audit may not provide the detailed usability information that's crucial for optimizing mobile SEO.
