“Positive experience with Spacebasic hostel management app”

We have implemented this software for our small independent hostel where college students reside. Initially we used manual methods and then started trying to use software solutions. But every other software had some or the other issue. If it was good it did not have the features we need. Thats where Spacebasic helped us. It has end to end hostel management features for our use case. The best is that parents can directly approve / deny their students leave requests without us having to involve all the time.

Pros : SpaceBasic is a simple yet powerful hostel management app that fits perfectly with our needs. Its role-based access for students, parents, wardens, and security ensures clear boundaries and smooth operations. The fee management module is very easy to use, and the modern UI makes navigation effortless. Their customer support is fast and helpful. Overall, it’s the best hostel management software I’ve come across for our use case.

Cons : None as of now. Its a good solution for what its intended purpose is.

Reason to switch : Ease of use, feature rich, well though product for our use case. If you run a hostel for students and want to automate most of the day to day operations of your hostel, this is one of the better options in the market. It is built for specific use case and works well for the same. Also because this hostel management app has better interface compared to many other competitors.

“One of the best hostel management software we have come across for college hostel management”

After exploring various ERPs, plug-and-play solutions, and trying to tweak generic tools for hostel management, SpaceBasic stood out as one of the top options. It includes all the essential features an independent or college hostel would need—student onboarding forms, room assignments, fee collection, complaint management, and even mess tracking. Most modules integrate seamlessly with each other, creating a smooth and efficient workflow. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience using SpaceBasic.

Pros : SpaceBasic offers a well-thought-out hostel management solution. The complaint management system is intuitive, and the fee management features run smoothly. It significantly reduces back-and-forth in student leave approvals, eases the warden’s workload, and keeps parents informed with timestamped logs. The mobile app for students is also efficient and user-friendly, making the overall experience streamlined and reliable.

Cons : takes time to learn all features, but customer support team is very helpful

Reason to switch : One stop solution for all hostel needs Complaint management, mess management, fees management, parent communication and a lot of other features that work together help us become very efficient with our hostel operations. Thanks to Spacebasic - one of the better and best student hostel management software i have come across.
