“Handles Growth Really Well”

As our company grew into more states, tax rules got really complicated. Avalara scaled with us and handled all the new jurisdictions without breaking a sweat. It's like having a whole tax department in one app. It does get expensive if you’re operating in 30+ states, but it’s still cheaper than hiring extra staff.

Pros : Scales with your business without extra stress.

Cons : A bit pricey when you expand into many states.

Reason to switch : Xero was fine when we were small, but it couldn’t keep up as we expanded. Avalara was made for growth.

“Helpful for Handling Complicated Taxes”

Running an online store with products going all over the country used to be a tax nightmare. Avalara took care of that. It connects to Shopify and even Amazon, so taxes are added automatically. I don’t have to do anything. I did notice sometimes the syncing is a bit slow when uploading big orders, but it’s still way better than doing it all manually.
