“Wix offers high-grade web security for free”

Pros : Before I got my online business started, my mentor advised me to invest in cybersecurity. But I have no idea about it till this date. So I was hesitant of building a website. But then, I came across Wix and I never had to worry about security again. Wix takes utmost care of its servers, which is why I could fully focus on web development.

Cons : When I got started with Wix, I found the free plan impressive. But later I found that the free version doesn’t allow users to track web traffic analytics. For that reason, we got the paid plan. But that’s the only con of Wix in my opinion.

Reason to switch : Wix is my first web-building experience.

“Wix has the best back-end interface”

Pros : Wix has the best-looking backend interface of any website builder available today. It's also really handy. All of the tools I required to make my website owning and building dreams a reality were only a few mouse clicks away. Wix offers tools for customizing templates. They empowered me to build a website that matches my business ethos.

Cons : One thing that I believe Wix should solve is that the templates are not interchangeable. Each time I want to change my site’s template, I have to manually customize it all over again from the scratch.

Switched from : Squarespace

Reason to switch : Wix is much cheaper with some great features.

“Wix makes web building a breeze of an experience”

Pros : I was surprised by the fact that Wix sites are already well-optimized. So I didn’t need to put in manual labor. For a technical novice like me, it’s a perfect solution. I own 6 Wix sites and building each of them from scratch took me only minutes (not even an hour). The experience was seamless, thanks to the simple drag-and-drop facility.

Cons : Being a novice, I didn’t really face any challenges while using Wix. It took care of everything I could think of.

“Wix is incredibly fast”

Pros : Wix, I felt, can be symbolized as the Tesla among traditional website builders. It's reliable and packed with amazing features. I signed up for something wonderful. Wix websites are lightning quick. My site received an A+ in Bitcatcha's speed test. I did several WordPress tests as well and they recorded outstanding time to the first byte (TTFB).

Cons : I personally don’t have anything to complain about Wix. Their customer support team solves everything.

Switched from : Weebly

Reason to switch : The main reason for switching to Wix is it is easy to learn and build with so many features available.

“Wix means speed and reliability”

Pros : My Wix website scored fast TTFB, which is a significant metric since it shows that Wix servers are responsive. This suggests that the site won’t bog down due to server responsiveness. Wix sites are also very resilient, as evidenced by the regular uptime tests we run on UptimeRobot. All of these with no intervention from my end. Impressive!

Cons : I am totally happy with Wix and its features and functions. No cons for me.

Reason to switch : I think Wix offers a seamless experience.

“Wix’s mobile-site editor is an excellent tool”

Pros : The Wix editor offers a mobile editor as well, which I find really impressive. This allows me to edit and see how my site would appear on a mobile device. It can be totally maintained independently of the main editor, allowing me to fully personalize the mobile experience rather than relying on an automatic responsive template

Cons : I have no complaints regarding Wix. I love it.

Reason to switch : Wix is quite affordable and offers ways to express my creativity.

“I love Wix template collection”

Pros : With Wix, I got access to a large number of templates, with over 500 variants up to and running. By any measure, that is a huge amount. I've seen some website builders offering so few templates that their deal is almost comical. But Wix offers a large range of categories to pick from. There's truly something for everyone!

Cons : The biggest problem with Wix sites is that it is untransferable. The designs they offer need thousands of dollars to manually build from scratch when migrating to self-hosting options, like WordPress.

Reason to switch : Wix has some great templates and virtually unlimited categories.

“Thank you Wix for your incredibly helpful customer support”

Pros : I rarely had any issues with my Wix sites. But once I was stuck in some jargon thing, so I reached out to Wix’s support and they assisted me right away. I never had to waste time trying to fix plugins or widgets that aren't working. Their customer care department is easily reachable via phone, email, and an interactive FAQ page.

Cons : Although the free plan is very much functional with a lot of features, it has a negative point. It doesn’t allow us to use a custom domain and all free Wix sites are branded by Wix’s logo. So, it really shows that we got the site for free. That’s why we had to upgrade to a premium package.

Reason to switch : Wix offers readymade options, which saved my time.

“these folks are great”

Pros : I was in need of software. They got me in contact with five valid contenders. Demos were set up within a couple of days and I have down selected a product that I feel confident will meet our needs. I was pleased with the service despite being nervous that I would just get spammed by using it.

“Wix’s App Market is a treasure chest”

Pros : Here’s what I love the most about Wix’s tactical capabilities: the Wix App Market, It is a vast collection of plugins that you may use to accomplish certain tasks on your Wix site. For instance, when I required a chat functionality or an integrated online payment portal, I simply turned the respective settings on and they were ready to use.

Cons : The payment plans are affordable but don’t allow the transfer of subscriptions between multiple sites. I registered one domain with Wix and later I could not replace it with a newly-bought domain. So, I had to buy a subscription again

Reason to switch : I found that plugins are almost available readymade on Wix.
