“Easy Protection of SaaS Workloads”

Veeam Data Cloud has been effective in protecting our SaaS workloads. The ability to manage multiple Microsoft 365 tenants from one interface has been particularly beneficial. However, it would be advantageous to have the option to send backups directly to cloud storage without the intermediate step of disk-based storage.

Pros : I am really satisfied overall with the performance of the product.

Cons : Would like to see direct backup to cloud storage without a hop on disk-based storage.

“Efficient Backup with Some Interface Challenges”

Veeam has provided us with all the capabilities to help us efficiently manage and organize backup operations. It can deal with all types of data and works with all kinds of servers efficiently. However, I initially found the user interface challenging to navigate, but with time and after understanding the method of use correctly, it became very simple.

Pros : Veeam provides sufficient flexibility to perform backup data operations quickly and safely.

Cons : I had difficulty dealing with the user interface at first.

Setting up Veeam Data Cloud was a breeze. The onboarding team was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the differences between fixed and dynamic licensing. We initially started with fixed licensing but quickly realized that dynamic licensing provided significantly more flexibility. With a quick email, our onboarding specialist switched us to dynamic licensing, which offers several advantages. So far, our test restores have worked well, reinforcing our confidence in the platform’s reliability.

Cons : The interface can sometimes feel a bit slow, particularly when accessing restores.

Reason to switch : We migrated to Veeam from another cloud backup provider, primarily due to pricing and familiarity. Veeam’s pricing is more competitive, and since we already use Veeam Backup & Replication, transitioning was seamless.

Veeam offers a lot of functionality beyond just backing up, like creating virtual labs that you can run experiments on. Every time I needed to get back up and running, it did a great job and was seamless. However, the learning curve is slow because the software has many ways to solve one problem.
