Q. How do I maintain record of different price lists?

For example: In the Durga Puja festival we had used a price list of 15% discount. For Diwali modified the same to 20% discount. Also for Christmas and New Year I want to maintain price list @7% and 10% respectively. Now how do I track that what type of price list we had used in every festival and how much amount we have had discounted in a particular festival? Solution: Create different Price List for different festivals and then set them in Sales Option. This way you can track what type of price list you had used for each festival and how much amount you have had discounted in each festival separately. This is also helpful to plan and set the prices in advance for an upcoming festive season. Steps are given below;


Q. How to Integrate Weighing Scale with Touch POS?

FusionRetail 6 uses auto import function to import the files created by weighing scale. You can use "User Defined Code" to integrate with weighing scale in Touch POS module. Weighing scale must have same product codes as defined in FusionRetail 6. After every transaction, weighing scale creates a CSV file containing data of that particular transaction. By use of weighing scale’s software set the location of the created CSV file as “C:\FusionRetail6\Import”.


Q. How to auto import the files generated by Weighing Scales?3

Create a KOT Import Mapping based on the weighing scale format Import as = Sale KOT File Type = Text(CSV) Data include Header row = Yes File Name = Select a CSV file(created earlier by the weighing scale) from the “C:\FusionRetail6\Import” folder and map the columns as follow Date = Vch Date PLU_NO = User Defined Code Article_Name = Product Name Weight(g) = Qty Card No = Table No During save it will ask for a mapping name. Enter a suitable name and save it


Q. There are many options available to put price list. Can you tell me in what order it will work?

Price List can be automatically called from many places. The following is the order for this. a) From Transaction Option - When you start the entry then it will set the price list defined in the option. You may set it to [None] is you do not want to use this. b) From Customer or Supplier - If you select a customer it set the price list defined in the customer. Before setting this it will ask to change the prices of the products already scanned. If you select yes then the price of all the items will change and the price list will be set for next items. c) Manually by User - If you want you can select from the available price list by using "select price list" button. If you already added some products then it will ask you about changing the prices. You can choose Yes or no based on your requirements.


Q. How can I attach an .MDF file?

It is recommended that you backup your database every day. Please note that at the time of server crash backup files are the main resources for recovery. However attaching .MDF files are always the second option. The steps to attach an .MDF file are. Copy .mdf file in ‘FusionRetail6\Data’ folder of server Go to ‘C:\FusionRetail6\ ‘ Delete the ‘FusionRetail.exe.config’ file. Run the FusionRetail6 software it will open the Database Manager click on the Next button Select the ServerName, Authentication, UserName, Password (Default Username is sa with blank password) and Click on Next button Select ‘attach’ from the list and Click on Next button Specify the database name (as per your need) and select the appropriate MDF file and click on the Next button it will ask for your confirmation click on ‘yes’ it will attach the MDF file. Now select station and press Next button Finish
