“Analytics Are Solid, But A/B Testing Is Basic”

I track opens, clicks, and even heatmaps—Constant Contact gives detailed analytics, which helps tweak campaigns weekly. The subject-line A/B is handy—but that’s it. I’d love to test different body copy or images, but it doesn’t let me. And there’s no spam score preview unless I pay extra. A bit limiting for anyone wanting deeper insights.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : ActiveCampaign

Reason to switch : I’m moving from ActiveCampaign to Constant Contact for simpler analytics and easier UI—but may need to switch again for better A/B testing.

“Great for NonProfits, But Cancellation’s a Pain”

We’re a small charity using Constant Contact for fundraising emails. We love how we can organize donors and segment lists. There’s a sweet discount for nonprofits, too. But when we tried pausing our plan recently, we learned canceling requires a phone call—and we had to argue to get them to stop billing. There’s no simple unsubscribe button, which feels like a trap.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Mailchimp

Reason to switch : We moved from Mailchimp to Constant Contact because of the nonprofit discount and better list tools, but cancelling isn’t easy.

“Solid Deliverability, But Pricey at Scale”

We send monthly newsletters, so hitting the inbox matters. Constant Contact delivers—it reported a ~90% deliverability rate last time I checked. The email builder helps design polished messages easily. Still, as our subscriber list grew past 5,000, pricing jumped significantly, and add-ons like Litmus previews tacked on more costs. All told, we’re spending 30–40% more than expected.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : MailerLite

Reason to switch : We switched from MailerLite to leverage Constant Contact's strong deliverability, even with higher costs for additional features.

“Social Posting Saves So Much Time”

As a solo marketer, I love that Constant Contact lets me write an email and schedule a post to Facebook and Instagram at the same time. Brand kits help me maintain consistency. That said, I can’t tailor posts per platform (e.g., hashtags for Instagram), and social tagging is limited. So, if I want polished social content I still end up posting separately.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Buffer

Reason to switch : I upgraded from Buffer to Constant Contact to consolidate email and social scheduling—though truly optimized social needs a backup tool.

“Great for Event Emails, But Costs Add Up”

Our non-profit switched to Constant Contact for email invites and event RSVPs. It was great—the inline forms, ticket options, even selling add-ons was straightforward. Plus, the tool lets us cross-post to social, which saves time. However, when we added SMS reminders and preview features from Litmus, the price started climbing. And for complex events—like tiered tickets—it wasn't as flexible as dedicated event platforms.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Eventbrite

Reason to switch : We chose Constant Contact over Eventbrite so we could manage emails, social, and event RSVPs in one place—even if it meant paying extra.

“Glitchy Builder Makes Me Rage”

I manage multiple weekly email campaigns and Constant Contact’s calendar and scheduling tools are solid. But the email builder… forget it. A small text change reverted after saving. Uploading images was painfully slow. Several times it froze mid-edit and I had to refresh—sometimes losing content. My conversion rates dropped because emails were messy or late, and it’s been a daily headache.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Mailchimp

Reason to switch : I jumped to Klaviyo after constant builder issues here—Klaviyo’s email editor stays stable under heavy use.

“DragandDrop is a LifeSaver”

I jumped into Constant Contact because I needed a quick way to send monthly newsletters. The draganddrop editor is super intuitive—I just pick a template, customize text and images, and off it goes. They’ve got hundreds of designs, and copying a template for a new campaign is a breeze. That said, the styles look a bit old-school, and once in a while the editor glitched—like elements jumping around or saving being slow, which was frustrating.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : Mailchimp

Reason to switch : I left Mailchimp for Constant Contact because I found the templates and editor setup much easier for nontech-savvy team members.

“Customer Support is Great—When They Answer”

When I first started, I had trouble embedding a video. I reached out on live chat, and the person walked me through fixing it. Their knowledge base is also packed with good guides. Still, if I call after hours, there’s no answer; their email support can take a day or more. I’ve also had to wait on hold multiple times, which eats into my productivity.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : ActiveCampaign

Reason to switch : I chose Constant Contact over ActiveCampaign for its better live-chat and phone support for beginners—even though their support hours are limited.

“Really Helps Beginners, But Automation is Basic”

As a small business owner, I appreciated how Constant Contact walked me through setup—from contact imports to creating my first welcome email. The step-by-step prompts got me going in about 15 minutes. Scheduling birthday automations and abandoned cart workflows was easy. But once I tried building more complex automation flows with branching, I felt boxed in—it wasn’t as flexible as other automation platforms.

Pros :

Cons :

Switched from : SendinBlue

Reason to switch : I replaced Sendinblue with Constant Contact for its simpler onboarding and ease of use—even though I might outgrow its automation soon.
