Trello can be used on the web, desktop, or mobile applications. Its web version works smoothly with the drag and drop functionality even for uploading documents on the board. If we use its desktop app, it has its own advantages such as the option to quickly add on a new card. It also provides touch bar features for Mac and extra keyboard shortcuts.
The project management tool allows users to upload documents directly from their desktop and cloud platforms, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. Moreover, they can also add cover images to task boards or search on free image stock sites for the same.
However, the project management software does not offer more advanced project management features like it does auto-save and sync data properly. Moreover, you cannot also mark the cards as done once the task is completed with Trello. But it does offer multiple pick-ups or extensions to get additional functionalities for better project and task management.
Trello software is flexible and helps users to create and collaborate on tasks. It offers multiple templates to easily get started with the creation of project management workflow specific to your business hassle-free.
Moreover, it is not a heavy application and runs smoothly without lagging or slowing down your computer or mobile phone. Most Trello customers have praised and suggested this app above its competitors because it runs smoothly.
Trello offers a butler tool to customize and automate your workflow. Most of the time, your actions for a particular task would be repetitive. In that case, you can automate tasks without any code. You can create actions that will automatically follow up when a set task is performed or repeated. For example, if any task is delayed by 10 days, Trello will automatically adjust the due date to the next ten days.
Therefore, you can automate these types of repetitive tasks with command runs. You get the list of triggers and actions with Trello that automates common tasks specific to your business. Through automation, you can create a button that will automatically perform an action with a single click and commands that will run at the set dates of the calendar.
In terms of features, Trello does have task tracking functionality, however, you can use the available pickups or extensions for more advanced task tracking. Further, you get multiple templates to automate your tasks. With Trello, you can view the entire workflow in Timeline, Calendar, Map, Workspace, and Dashboard view. Furthermore, you get customized backgrounds and stickers to add to your workflow board or cards.
Here are some key features of Trello:
With Trello project management software, you can create as many boards as you want for your tasks and projects and name them as you like.
Next, put cards in the column and add all the relevant information related to these cards. This may include task name, assignee name, due dates, hyperlinks, attachments, project structure, etc.
Next, you need to invite your team members to join the board via a sign-up link. Further, create your own task board to manage your own projects in Trello project management software. Trello also offers multiple templates to streamline your workflow. For example, Trello project management provides multiple templates for designing, HR operations, product management, sales, marketing, and more. Trello task management software also lets you customize your own templates in Trello’s paid plan.
With Trello viewing feature, you can also change the board view with spreadsheet type table, map view, and dashboard view.
For additional features or functionalities, Trello task management solution offers various plugins or extensions. It also lets you automate various repetitive tasks such as closing tasks when completed through the butler tool.
Trello has its own set of pros and cons as any other project management software. But there is no denying that its Kanban-style digital board has simplified the project management for the organization. The simple dashboard has made it easy to visualize all the ongoing tasks and projects at one place.
However, you do need integrations to expand and handle more complex projects in Trello. Overall, it’s good project management software for creating detailed Kanban boards, lists, cards, and more.
Further, with its collaboration features, you can stay connected with your members from the moment the task has been created and till its completion. In a nutshell, it’s a great tool to manage agile project management methodology.
